Chronology
A charmed Agatha Harkness regains her freedom with the help of a teenager. Intrigued by his request, she sets out on a road trip to the Witches, a road test to regain her powers and discover the teenager’s motivations. Stars Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Debra Jo Rupp and Ali Ann, as well as showrunner Jac Schaeffer and executive producer Mary Livanos, discuss how they prepared for the Marvel series.
Ranch before the neighborhood was demolished
The set was previously used in Wandavision. Agatha lives in the house that was used for the TV series Bewitched (1964). Mentioned on WatchMojo: 10 Most Shocking Reveals of Disney Plus Day (2021) I love exploring this little corner of Marvel.
This is a great Halloween witch story, very much in the vein of Hocus Pocus
It doesn’t have much to do with the larger MCU, but I don’t think anyone would ever believe it. It’s silly, campy, witty, but still has that edge to it that keeps you on your toes. Kathryn Hahn is excellent and really drives the bus here, allowing everyone else to shine in their own way.
This show is enchanting in its own right
It’s only after the first two episodes, but I really have no complaints. The action could use some more rigorous choreography, that was my only complaint. Whether Wanda returns at the end or not, I don’t think it matters!
